Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario

Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario

As I am off today to photograph a pregnancy announcement session (the dad knows but we will be capturing it for them to announce to the rest of the world) I thought it was fitting to post this Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario blog from photographs taken a bit over a year ago. One of my previous wedding clients let me in on a secret, and I was there at Prince Alberts Diner to capture her telling her husband, in a very cute way, that she was pregnant. Now, as mentioned in the Proposal photography post, my task was made a bit harder in that the subject knew who I was so I tried to go incognito, this time as I knew I had to be inside, I took my fiance with me to make it look like we just also happened to be there on a date. I was recognized but told later that he didn’t suspect anything and I really don’t think that his reactions could be any more expressive! I felt making the images black and white made the expressions the main thing that draws your eye and I’m so excited to be photogaphing their little ones 6 month milestone next month (yes, I know I’m really far behind on blogs but I’ll get there 🙂

If you enjoyed this post, check out the other Pregnancy Announcement I photographed last year.

Part 1: Easter Mini Sessions

So a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to team up with Robin who has a small pet farm just north of the city (you can view her photography here) and with Found Decor Company for some of the props to do some Easter Mini Sessions! If you are a fan of my Facebook page you would have seen the sneak peaks I rolled out as I was editing them but I wanted to share more of each session so I decided to feature two of the mini sessions on the blog (1 from the outdoor shoots when it was -8 out and one from the studio shoots when it was 10 degrees outside!?!) each day leading up to Easter. Please share and pin until your chocolate filled hearts are content!

First up was adventurous Liam who patiently waited with his Mom and Robin for me as best as an active 2 year old can, while being entertained with Bunnies and Chicks!

Next we have the little superstar Trinity who LOVED Jezebel the bunny and has such a huge personality I think we were able to capture a bit of in the portraits. How can anyone not love that spring dress!

2012 roundup: Family Photography

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be doing a series of roundup blogs showing some of my favourite photos from sessions I’ve done throughout the year. This year I’ve had the opportunity to do family photography sessions in 2 great locations, where I am from on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia and where I now call home in London, Ontario, Canada. If there is one thing I love about being a photographer it is knowing that these images will be forever in the family and cherished for years to come, maybe in frames up on the walls or even just hidden away for that 18th (Australia) or 19th (Canada) birthday slideshow. Photographing families really is my passion and I’m looking forward to meeting many new families to photograph in the New Year!
I love the chaos in this shot from a family lifestyles session in London. It captures the moment that many times you don’t see in family sessions, the meltdown.

If there is one photo I’ve taken this year that just encapsulates summer, it’s this one. London, On

That look of love from a mothers eyes

Playful shoot at Terrigal, NSW

Two best friends at Gibbons Park, London.

Baby love at Long Jetty, NSW

Best friends fall shoot

I photographed Damien when he was just a little guy and it was so great to be able to do another shoot and see how he’s grown and also to meet his best friend Jayda! This pair are so cute together, following each other around and just having innocent fun at the playground. This was photographed at Gibbons park in London, Ontario.

Halifax Pregnancy Photographer

I’m now back in Halifax, Canada and will be here until the end of August. Before I left home on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia I wanted to do a feminine pregnancy shoot using the natural location that I know and love most, the beach. First time Mum Laura was a pleasure to photograph and brought a great range of outfit changes!

Central Coast Family Photography

New Work Wednesday is back, after a bit of a hiatus for while I’ve been working in a portrait studio (unable to show my work due to copyright) I’ve now got a few shoots up my sleeve to be shared! This time next week I’ll be getting through customs at LAX on the return back to Halifax, Canada but I’ll be back on the Central Coast for most of November this year so if you’re thinking of doing a shoot let me know and we can start planning!
Over the long weekend I had the pleasure of doing a family photography shoot at Long Jetty on the NSW Central Coast. Even though little Evelyn wasn’t having an incredibly smiley day, I don’t think you’d know it from these sneak peaks! Check out those baby blues!

BIG bouncing baby boy

Since meeting Tina and Albert at the beginning of the year they have been really supportive and gave me the opportunity to photograph their Engagement, Wedding, Maternity and now baby boy. At over 10 pound this big guy didn’t want to make his appearance when he was due to and so it was cut right down to the wire of when I was leaving London to do his photo session. I ended up meeting this 10 pound little man at the hospital and did more of a lifestyle session for them.

Back to nature maternity session

I’ll write more about this lovely couple when I post the newborn shoot later in the week but for now I’ll just leave you with possibly my favorite maternity session so far this year. All fo the photos were taken in Tina’s fathers backyard, man would I love to have that many different scenic places in my backyard for doing photography sessions in!

These last three shots were very special as it was Tina’s first time visiting the spot where her dog was buried. I had to do the same thing when returning home with my dog and I’m really glad I was able to capture a sad yet beautiful moment for them.

Central Coast NSW Family Photography

I first met Amanda and her growing family for her maternity session back at the beginning of the year after that I got to meet baby Ariella for her newborn session and I was asked back again to do a summer shoot for the young family. I love that I’ve been able to see the little ones grow and loved capturing moments like the one below with Aiden picking Dad’s nose! Also check out the teddy hat I was taking photos of, so cute! Let me know if you would like the designers details to get one!
