Mothers Day

I’m currently focusing my time on weddings but as it is Mothers Day this weekend I thought I would share a session I did when I was in Australia last November of one of my friends, Amanda and her little man Oliver. I have been taking photos of this little guy pretty much since he was born but this was the first real shoot that Amanda and I had actually organised. I loved capturing not only the love between them but also his personality, from the shy looking down shot with the tie in black and white to the giggling shot of him lying on the sand with his bright blue eyes sparkling.

Mothers day special and Spring Mini info

Spring is finally on the way (not that it really looks like it out my window) so here are the details of my Spring Mini Sessions

These 30 minute long sessions will take place in Gibbons Park in London and will be styled with vintage props including a couch (below) and teepee set from Found Decor Company

Prices start at $60 for 5 full high resolution images on disc with print release, $90 for 10 images and $120 for 20 images. You can decide what package you would like to go for after seeing the photos.

Can be used for Family, Kids, Newborn, maternity, Pets, Engagement, ‘In Love’, High school seniors, or for any other portrait session you can think of.

To book a session please get in contact ASAP. Sunday May 26th will be the main shoot date but if you are not able to make it on that date some varying times will be available May 23rd- 28th. All images will be back in time for you to make prints for Fathers Day.

I guess I’m kind of getting a bit ahead of myself by speaking of Fathers Day, especially as we haven’t even had Mothers Day yet! For my special for Mothers Day I am giving a 20% discount off of any gift certificate bought in between now (April 12 2013) and Mothers Day (May 12 2013). Thats a saving of $60 on a 2 hour family shoot!
To celebrate to Mothers Day special I thought I would share this shoot I did when I was at home in Australia last November, with Beth and her daughter Ruby. We picked pretty much the windiest day possible to be shooting on the Terrigal peninsula but we managed to still get some cute shots.

Vintage fashion photography shoot + exciting news!

A few months ago if you are a fan of my facebook page you may remember me posting a few images from this shoot. I decided I would love to share more after I had a chat with a fellow little London (or Canada’s London as they are trying to get across) photographer who was doing a vintage themed shoot at Medium. This shoot was done while I was at home in Australia after raiding my Mum’s closet and finding things that she was willing to part with. Prices are included in the facebook album.
I will be doing some easter styled shoots the next couple of weekends which I am really excited about! Head to my Facebook page now to enter for your chance to win a session!

Lifestyles Family Photography London Ontario

As it is Family Day here in London, Ontario, I thought I would share a family photography session I did while in Australia. I try to have a natural documentary ‘lifestyles’ approach to my family photography as I’d rather let them tell the story of who they are and document that than imposing a certain set of poses upon each family.

Pet Photography in the sun!

So I have been really slack since the new year with writing blogs! Over the next few weeks I thought I would finally show some work I did back in November while back in Australia. The first shoot I did was one which had been in the making for over a year as Kellie and Matt’s family had bought them a gift certificate for Christmas. We were able to do the shoot in Ettalong on a lovely summers day with their dog Zach.

2012 Roundup: Wedding Photography

This year I have been fortunate enough to photograph weddings on 3 continents, every wedding completely different but one thing staying the same, celebrating the love that two people share which can bring families together, even if they are countries apart. This blog is my roundup of my favourite images from this year, as well as something I’ve never shown online before but that I can put together for my clients, a slideshow to their wedding music. I feel so lucky to have been invited along to each of these celebrations to capture the moments to enjoy for many years to come! If you are interested in booking a wedding wherever in the world you may be please contact me here.

2012 roundup: Family Photography

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be doing a series of roundup blogs showing some of my favourite photos from sessions I’ve done throughout the year. This year I’ve had the opportunity to do family photography sessions in 2 great locations, where I am from on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia and where I now call home in London, Ontario, Canada. If there is one thing I love about being a photographer it is knowing that these images will be forever in the family and cherished for years to come, maybe in frames up on the walls or even just hidden away for that 18th (Australia) or 19th (Canada) birthday slideshow. Photographing families really is my passion and I’m looking forward to meeting many new families to photograph in the New Year!
I love the chaos in this shot from a family lifestyles session in London. It captures the moment that many times you don’t see in family sessions, the meltdown.

If there is one photo I’ve taken this year that just encapsulates summer, it’s this one. London, On

Candy Stripes

During my time at home I was invited to a lot of events held by Event Cinemas Tuggerah and when they mentioned they were getting new candy striped old style uniforms I was on board to do a shoot of some of the young beautiful people they have working there. As you can see it was a lot of fun and got crazier as we went.

 Mum’s will be Mum’s!

Had to throw this one in of me and my bestie!

Family Photography for a good cause

Lulu is a survivor. When I see a good cause that I can use what I have to help, I do it and it was a wonderful experience meeting Lulu and her family in the weeks before I left the Central Coast to come back to Canada. This family photography session was taken at Wamberal Beach with some lovely late afternoon light.

Halifax Pregnancy Photographer

I’m now back in Halifax, Canada and will be here until the end of August. Before I left home on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia I wanted to do a feminine pregnancy shoot using the natural location that I know and love most, the beach. First time Mum Laura was a pleasure to photograph and brought a great range of outfit changes!
