Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario

Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario

As I am off today to photograph a pregnancy announcement session (the dad knows but we will be capturing it for them to announce to the rest of the world) I thought it was fitting to post this Pregnancy Announcement London Ontario blog from photographs taken a bit over a year ago. One of my previous wedding clients let me in on a secret, and I was there at Prince Alberts Diner to capture her telling her husband, in a very cute way, that she was pregnant. Now, as mentioned in the Proposal photography post, my task was made a bit harder in that the subject knew who I was so I tried to go incognito, this time as I knew I had to be inside, I took my fiance with me to make it look like we just also happened to be there on a date. I was recognized but told later that he didn’t suspect anything and I really don’t think that his reactions could be any more expressive! I felt making the images black and white made the expressions the main thing that draws your eye and I’m so excited to be photogaphing their little ones 6 month milestone next month (yes, I know I’m really far behind on blogs but I’ll get there 🙂

If you enjoyed this post, check out the other Pregnancy Announcement I photographed last year.

Berkshire Club Wedding Photography London Ontario

Berkshire Club Wedding Photography London Ontario

You may have caught Diana and Edwar’s engagement session from earlier today- not going to lie I went to write their wedding post as it is right around 1 year since their wedding and then realized I hadn’t even post their engagement session so as I wanted to put this up for ‘Wedding Wednesday’ I made myself write the two blogs in one day 🙂

Diana and Edwar came to me by a referral from one of Diana’s very helpful bridesmaids whose sisters wedding I had photographed. They got ready at a friends house which with the hardwood floors, mirror and paintings made for great getting ready shot opportunities. It was then off to the Berkshire Club Wedding Photography London Ontario for their ceremony and reception. We had planned on going to Civic Gardens for the photographs in between but decided that there wouldn’t be enough time so I was put to the test to photograph everything right outside the venue, in the snow! Everything worked out well and I loved their simple but beautiful decor for the reception, and just check out the awesome colour blue bridesmaids dresses!

Rustic Engagement

As I just shot Meaghan and Michael’s wedding on the weekend, I thought it was about time I blog their engagement session. When we first met and they described an image they had seen of a silhoette of a horse and dog that they wanted to re-create I was beyond excited! After rescheduling because of an overcast day, we happened to get an amazing sunset so I was very happy to be able to get that image to be great for them, but also had a lot of fun taking shots inspired by the rustic surroundings and also including the dogs and horses on Meaghan’s family farm. I just love the fun shots of the chocolate lab running towards the camera with a massive smile on his face and the shot of the horse ‘smiling’ with both of them laughing.

Christmas/ Winter themed engagement session

Merry Christmas! I hope that if you do happen to be reading this on Christmas day that it is with chocolate in your mouth and your smelling the lovely smells of dinner being cooked. I met Stephanie and Skyler to speak about their wedding next year and Stephanie and I found so many things in common like our love of crafts and DIY (check out her awesome blog here), dogs, vintage and all things cute, fun and lovely. I think those last few words really describe Stephanie and Skyler’s engagement shoot with props by Found Decor Company, as well and some of their personal items. The snow looked like a winter wonderland and it made for a very fun (albeit cold) shoot.

Sunningdale Golf Course Wedding Photography London Ontario

Laura and Craig were married at Sunningdale Golf and country club in the summer and it was a very laid back and intimate day surrounded by all their loved ones. I especially loved the beach themed centrepieces that they made themselves, the ‘twirl’ to get the guests up and moving instead of the processional and also when the kids had a cupcake fight!
Venue: Sunningdale Golf and country club
Dresses: David’s Bridal
Makeup: Mac
Table decorations: DIY by bride and bridesmaids
Flowers: DIY by mother of the bride, bride and bridesmaids
Cupcakes: Razzle Dazzle

Springbank park and Cvic Gardens wedding Photography: Joanna and Jordan

Joanna and Jordan were married on a beautiful friday in May and what better setting than the lovely Springbank Gardens! I loved that they wanted to do a ‘first look’ with doing the photos before the ceremony which worked well not only for saving time between the ceremony and reception but also because it started raining during the ceremony which was held at the London Citadel church. The Civic Gardens Complex is now one of my favourite places to shoot, especially as they have the backup of having the greenhouse available (which came in very handy with the rain) . We added an extra bit of fun with using some film- instax minis (Polaroid type instant prints, but smaller) and using my 360 spinner camera.

Joey and Loey’s wedding at Bellamere Winery, London Ontario

Joey and Loey’s big day had everything, fight for the bride, eating contests, tea ceremonies, rain clouds overhead that kept the rain in them for the whole day and parted for a brief spot of sunshine as they walked down the aisle, dance routines, groomsmen dancing to the Spice Girls, the brides mom teaching everyone how to dougie, a stop motion video, the funniest song to explain the rules of the establishment, lots of heartfelt speeches with tears and last but not at all least, love. I loved documenting their big day and put together a slideshow for them (at the end of this post) with some of the highlights. If you want to see some of what I mentioned above along with Ryan Gosling kisses and appearances by superman and the flash, check it out.

Getting ready location/ Tea Ceremony 1: Delta Armouries Hotel
Ceremony and Reception: Bellamere Winery

In this slideshow there are a bunch of shots by my wonderful second shooter Arthur, I really can’t express how how important it is to include a second shooter in your wedding package, to get different angles and shots that may have not been in the right spot etc!- for full screen view go to YouTube- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ-DVjEVxPE

London Ontario Engagement photography

Joey and Loey as a couple sound like some kind of superhero duo, and their love, silliness and happiness are nothing short of that! Early in September we headed to the Sifton Bog where they did their best gangsta impressions then headed further in for some more lovey shots, but still keeping with the silliness added a bit of Gangnam style to their engagement session. I was so happy when I saw that they used the Gangnam style shot for their save the dates! After Sifton Bog we headed to downtown London to where Joey and proposed and captured a few of my favourite shots of the year with the fountain in the background. I can’t wait for their wedding in May!

15 best men and a belly dancer

Angela and Ahmed’s big day was a little different to others I have shot in the past as they had already had their ceremony prior to their big day in August. That meant that it was all a lot more relaxed and other than everything running a bit behind meaning that we didn’t have time to go to the location we had thought of going to for the photos, everything went very smoothly and relaxed. I love being free to use my photo-jouralistic style to capture the moments and I think with all the gorgeous kids, big personalities and amazing music and dancing I was able to capture some memories to last a lifetime. It also put a huge smile on my face when I walked in and saw the candy bar, it was a huge hit, but also because the couple had printed and framed a bunch of photos from their engagement session to use as favors for the guests.

*I am now living in London, Ontario but I travel regularly to Halifax for Wedding Photography.
